World Prayr is a ministry devoted to the purpose of finding those who are hurting, and helping them re-connect to the body of Christ; to a local church or ministry in their area.
What is the World Prayr mission?
What Was That Second Greatest Commandment Again?
World Prayr is an organization founded on the belief that the second greatest commandment God gave us was to “love your brother as yourself”, and thereby show we are His followers, not by what we might term “religious acts”. No, Christ stated clearly that it would be our love for one another that would show our love for him.
As our leaders began to watch the Prayer requests on our stream come in, they saw many hurts, needs and a numerous amount of disconnection. Many appeared to have no real support system. They had been disconnected by the very words and deeds of denominations and pillars of faith that have been dividing the church since Christendom canonized the church.
What Shall We Do About The Massive Need?
Thoughts came to mind: “There has to be a better way to begin offering answers of hope and real connections to those we see hurting.” This is the basic promise behind the mission and vision of World Prayr.
There is very little of this being completed on the web, other than the same methods of building a building, an online church, website, or blog. Yes, if you believe a message and have an easy location, the old saying is usually true: “they will come”. As word of mouth spreads, individuals will come out and check out this new address, whether it is a physical location or a virtual site. This has raised another question: “Can we not really reach out to those who are hurting without asking them to come to us?”.
As our leaders pondered this question they begin to realize that to really reach out to those in this foreign land we call the web, a different but similar strategy was going to be needed. The web IS a foreign land to the average church of two hundred members in America! A radical, totally different strategy was needed to truly “re-connect the body”.
Thus The Birth Of Our Mission Statement.
Mission Statement:
World Prayr will aggressively evangelize the web providing online resources of encouragement, support, and prayer. It will also develop a network of believers in Christ that will re-connect hurting people to local ministries and local bodies of believers to provide fellowship, support, and real answers, and treat them as family ought to be treated, nothing more, nothing less.
Vision Statement:
Provide a bridge through which hurting people can re-connect to Christ and the church locally and ministries and churches can find those who need them.
World Prayr Really Is Different!
World Prayr has chosen to be different, starting with aggressively promoting other ministries and churches. World Prayr is working to serve those who are disconnected and re-connecting them, one soul at a time to local bodies of believers which has formed our World Prayr team.
Our leaders realized what was really needed was an online mission force. Just as an organization might send workers into the foreign field, the web is World Prayr’s mission field comprised to serve Christ through World Prayr bringing a message of hope and reconnection to the body. We refer to our team as an “Ohana” which serves as an online mission force.
That “OHANA” is made up of many nationalities spread across the globe and within the Protestant faith.
No Volunteers Allowed!
Here may be the biggest difference there are no volunteers allowed in World Prayr. We only allow those committed to be Servant’s Of The Most High God. Serving with the highest standards of accountability and commitement to God, each other and the mission of World Prayr.
So if you think calling God’s children volunteers is honoring to God, and his children World Prayr is probably not the place for you.
