So You Want To Be A Leader Within World Prayr – Really

So you are considering or have been asked by someone else to consider being a leader in World Prayr. Does that mean you have to be a pro or a proven leader already or come with heavy credits, a proven track record as a leader, with a résumé a mile long. I think if you ask those already in leadership they will tell you NO!!! It does not.

What World Prayr looks for in a leader and in its leaders is more of a certain kind of attitude, and not a certain skill set. We believe God is in the business of gifting, developing, and growing leaders and as a result World Prayr should be as well.

World Prayr really does take the mission it has been called to seriously and so do each of its leaders. Recently one of our leaders wrote some thoughts on this and we believe it really is one of the best looking pieces on what World Prayr looks for in its leaders. So take some time and reflect on this process.

Then if you believe that you would still very much like to be a leader in World Prayr please take time and fill out the form you will find on this page.

How Do You Rate???

I was recently asked to grade myself and our team in the following categories with a 1 to 10 rating with 10 being the highest and best.  Of course I would have liked to been able to say that it was a 10 in all areas but I know that would be a stretch and not the truth.

We all have so much to do and get so busy in our day to day lives.  We’re raising children, caring for grandkids and parents, struggling with making ends meet and paying our bills, working to support our families, serving in our churches that we sometimes get caught up in it all and forget or barely have time to be prayerfully focused on the most important job here on earth as Christians is.  Our most important job is prayerfully allowing God and His Holy Spirit to show us how He would have us Glorify, Serve, Disciple others and share His wondrous plan of Salvation with the rest of the world and allow Him to use us to lead others to Jesus Christ and the cross.

I am told that all the following words are used in the Bible about how we are instructed to serve Him, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.   If we give our 100 percent all to Him in advance of all of our other chores and duties. From the first fold how much better we could be in our service to Him and others.

Let’s all challenge ourselves to be the very best of God’s creation and serve Him as if to the King, face to face with Him presenting a pure heart and honestly saying YES, I’m the best I can be with what God allows me to be.

I will ask the Lord to work in me that I will hear His voice and be disciplined.

Yes I will strive to be rigorous in my service to Him

I will be dogged and will do all it takes to get the job done

I will be determined to succeed and will not give up or give in

Diligent, yes I will pray to be the best even when no eye sees and no one knows

I pray to serve fastidiously without hesitation, procrastination or reserve

I will put prayer, thought and heart into being systematic
I pray to be Methodical to be sure that nothing slips through the cracks

I will be workmanlike as I am serving the one true God

I will be demanding as the Lord leads me

I will be consistent and always there for others as unto Him

I will focus on the tasks laid before me, letting nothing distract me

I present myself and all I do to be accountable as my Savior would have me

I will be responsible and consider myself a vessel of the Holy Spirit
Take a few minutes today to rate yourselves in the following areas.  Is there something that you can work harder at?  Of course we know that these works will not buy us any rewards or get us into heaven but it will help us to see where we can do better and seek to be the best we can at serving wholeheartedly with all the joy and love that He himself freely gives to us.
